JULIUS

JULIUS is driven by the pulse of deep house and techno. A Southern California native, JULIUS (Julie Shumaker) began her solo project in 2011 stemming from collaborative DJ and electronic music duo HEART+HEAT. With HEART+HEAT each having their own personal flavor, the two work on individually as well as collectively to come together to create a genuine musical perspective.

Since HEART+HEAT, JULIUS has added a variety of venues to her roster including Control Fridays in the Honey Lounge at Avalon Hollywood, Costa Mesa hot spots such as Memphis, Detroit Bar and La Cave, Proof Bar in Santa Ana, and Beauty Bar in Portland. She has graced the bill and played alongside some of the top local and electronic icons including RAC, Kedd Cook, CTOWN, Her Swerve and Music Department to name a few.

JULIUS continues to drive the momentum forward with new productions in the works and is always sure to serve up some in your face, unapologetic beats on the dance floor.
